What We Believe

The Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

Our Biblical Purpose Statement

We believe God’s Word calls Immanuel Christian Reformed Church to be a growing gathering of Christ’s disciples, the one and only Savior of the world.
We were created to glorify the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through Spirit-filled lives of repentance, prayer, worship, service, and witness.
We continually press on, through the sharing of God’s spiritual gifts toward the goal of maturity in Christ, exemplified in purity of faith, love for one another, and humble trust in God our provider.

Our Vision Statement

Building on the foundation of God’s Word and the Reformed faith, we earnestly pray that God will:
Unite us in the Spirit
Proclaim through us the Good News of Jesus Christ to our neighbors
Equip us for sacrificial service
Inspire us to celebrative worship
And mature us in our faith
