Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. At Immanuel, we encourage all of our members to be involved in outreach or inner-ministry work. Here are just some ways that you can be involved!

Mission Outreach

We offer international and domestic trips for both youth and adults throughout the year. We also have missionary partners working in places that we have met and served alongside of in New Jersey, Zuni, Guatemala, California, and Liberia. There are many opportunities each year! We also encourage the congregation to plan and lead trips that they feel called to serve on.

Worship Teams

We believe that true worship is when your “mind’s attention and heart’s affection” is fully on God. Immanuel offers a few different types of worship services. We have a rotation schedule for our volunteer worship leaders to provide variety and to allow many unique worship gifts to be shared.
  • Worship Volunteers-we invite those who sing, play organ, piano, guitar, drums, or another musical instrument to help us lead our worship services
  • Technical Volunteers-we invite those who enjoy helping with lights, sound, PowerPoint, video or other creative media to help us during any of our services.

Cadets

Immanuel Cadets exists to teach boys in grades 3-8 about God and faith using the Bible, outdoor education, and other projects as a mean to instill in them confidence, ability to learn something new, and just to have fun with a great group of other boys and men as counselors. Please contact the office for more information on how your child can get involved in this ministry.

GEMS

The mission of GEMS Girls’ Clubs is to help bring girls grades 3-8 into a living, dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. Our vision is to see girls around the world actively and enthusiastically expressing love for God and others—girls equipped, motivated, and passionately engaged in living out their faith. Together, our goal for every club meeting is to grow bigger hearts. Together, we will learn how to love and care for one another, other people, ourselves, and our relationship with God. And we’ll do this by learning about Jesus Christ, what He has done for us, and His plans for each of our lives. Please contact the office for more information on how your child can get involved in this ministry.

KidsHope

Immanuel CRC is partnered with Park Elementary school as part of the KidsHope program.
One simple thing will make a big difference in the life of an at-risk child: One-on-one, positive attention from a responsible, caring adult.
KIDS HOPE USA develops these one-on-one relationships through the creation of church-school partnerships that pair church members with at-risk kids in supportive, mentoring relationships.
KIDS HOPE USA mentors spend just one hour per week, reading, talking, playing and listening to a child at school. By helping the child feel loved and valued, they help that child to learn, grow and succeed.

Youth Group Leader

Enjoy working with high schoolers? Maybe middle schoolers? We have a wonderful youth ministry (Yay God!) that we would love to have you be a part of! Youth leaders will have their own small group of students to grow with throughout the year. Together we will follow the Spirit’s prompting and encourage our youth to dig into the Word with us. We believe that the youth are the church…not just the future of it. We are passionate about empowering the youth at Immanuel to share their gifts and abilities to serve the Lord and to become spiritual leaders for the rest of our congregation.

Sunday School Teacher

Immanuel CRC holds an Education Hour for Sunday school ages K-12 at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings. We are looking for teachers who enjoy leading students to draw closer to the Lord in fun, creative ways and to challenge their personal walks with God.
